Hello fellow cruisers!

 

I have been emailing HAL to ask these questions, and after several tries, I am hoping one of you can give me a straight answer, as HAL certainly hasn’t.

 

Q1. Does the Signature Beverage Package include bottled water.

 

Q2. When does the Exploration Cafe open in the morning. Hubby loves his lattes and cappuccinos first thing and apparently this is where they are available.

Regarding Exploration Cafe, on most of our cruises it opened at 7am.

On all the HAL ships we have been on, the Explorations Cafe opens at 7 AM.

Yes, you can get bottled water with the Signature Beverage Package -- small or large. Each one will count as part of your 15 drinks a day.

Can I also ask - does a spirit and a mixer or a spirit and a splash count as 2 drinks? Ta.

Mixed drinks are 1 drink. A shot and can of soda on the side might be counted as 2 drinks.

With the signature (or Elite) beverage package, you can even get a Long Island Ice Tea, which has 5 different types of alcohol in it and it still counts as one drink of your 15. A Black Russian has vodka and Kahlua, but is charged as one drink. However, if you order a shot of scotch, ice or neat, and a can of soda on the side, you probably would be charged for 2. But a scotch and soda in one glass is only considered one drink.
