fatpug Posted April 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2018 The FAQ page on the website has a link to cruise passenger tips: http://www.broward.org/Airport/About/Documents/Cruisebrochure2011.pdf It says some airlines offer luggage checking at Port Everglades after the cruise. Does anyone know which airlines offer this? I would like to find a way to check or store my bags after the cruise then spend the day in Fort Lauderdale without the hassle of baggage. Thanks
capriccio Posted April 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2018 It is cruise line specific I think. For instance, I know the Princess program is called EX-Check. I would post this on the appropriate cruise line board so you get specific replies. Here are some recent threads about the program for Princess ships arriving in Port Everglades: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2448200 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2563661 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2597242 has a sample form from last year

Clarea Posted April 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2018 Royal Caribbean has Luggage Valet in Port Everglades. To add, Royal can send luggage to these airlines at FLL from ships docking at Port Everglades: American, Delta, Alaska, JetBlue, Southwest, and United. cruisecookie Posted July 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2018 Bob -- I know you've got all the answers. Please help me. On February 3, 2019 I will be heading home from my Celebrity Edge cruise out of Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades). If I want to use Luggage Valet, what is the earliest time that I can book my flight home on JetBlue? Thank you.

ransrider Posted July 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 2, 2018 To add, Royal can send luggage to these airlines at FLL from ships docking at Port Everglades: American, Delta, Alaska, JetBlue, Southwest, and United. Is this only available once on board or can it be prebooked? What does Royal call their program? I called recently to inquire about the program and the answer I got was, "I've not heard of it. Check once on board." internetwhiz Posted July 2, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Onboard. The left the sheet in our room on Day 3. We had to have it with flight info back on Day 5. They left tags and our boarding passes Day 7. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contentWithHero.do?pagename=luggage_valet_service
fishywood Posted July 2, 2018 #10 Share Posted July 2, 2018 To directly answer the OPs question--which was not about EZCheck/Luggage Valet/whatever name your ship has for the service: at Port Everglades you may also find representatives for the local contractor for the luggage check service just outside the door of the terminal looking to sell your their service directly. Note that on a busy turnaround day in peak season they might not be at every ship. But the rules are pretty much the same as onboard: no Spirit or Allegiant, other domestic carriers as long as the first leg is a domestic flight, time window applies. So if you don't need your boarding pass printed in advance on the ship you can take the chance that you can check your luggage at the curb. internetwhiz Posted July 2, 2018 #11 Share Posted July 2, 2018 If that’s not what was asked, I guess it’s back to Grade 1 for me [emoji23]
fishywood Posted July 2, 2018 #12 Share Posted July 2, 2018 If that’s not what was asked, I guess it’s back to Grade 1 for me [emoji23] Well the OP definitely didn't ask about the luggage check service offered by the cruise line. They asked about the online reference they found regarding luggage check at the port after disembarking. http://www.broward.org/Airport/About/Documents/Cruisebrochure2011.pdf It says some airlines offer luggage checking at Port Everglades after the cruise. Does anyone know which airlines offer this? Don't forget to bring an apple for the teacher
