Was your sail and snorkel through Celebrity or a private company, if so, who did you use? Was it drift snorkeling or off the beach? We did a drift snorkel a number of years ago that I loved. My DH does not snorkel and I am not a strong swimmer so I dislike snorkeling off the beach.

We will do Silhouette 9 Night next year similar route without Cartagena, surprised with the first chic night was at port instead of at sea Grand Cayman. Thank you for sharing

Yes it was strange to us that it wasn’t on Day 2 (at sea). We actually started getting ready for chic night on Day 2 and then saw on the daily planner it was smart casual. We were surprised it was on a port day.

Yes we booked through Celebrity. They had a 7:30am and a 11am tour. It was a snorkel where they take you out and then you jump off or go down the ladder and snorkel. Does not start off at the beach

Day 10- At Sea

Another brilliant day of sunshine and warm temperature! We decided to have breakfast in the dining room today. It was a nice change of pace than having to fight the crowds in the buffet in the morning. The food was ok and I’m glad we got to go once this cruise.

Afterwards we attended the cooking lesson on how to make Paella. Seemed to be a lot of steps in preparing it and also unforgiving if you mess up a step. I think we will just go to the local Spanish restaurant to order if we want paella. Much easier and no clean up!

We then checked out the indoor pool and surprisingly there were spots open so we decided to lay out and relax. We fell asleep for what felt like 30 min but 2 hours passed by!! I guess we were tired!

We got something to eat at the buffet and then I signed up for the ping pong competition. It was fun and I ended up in 3rd.

I noticed earlier in the cruise that the bathroom by the spa has a dry sauna. So I decided to check it out and spent some time in there. It was probably a good thing to sweat out all the alcohol consumed on this cruise! Lol!

We got ready for the show which was called Broken Strings performed by the singers and dancers. They were again very talented and the storyline was much better. I recommend seeing this show. It’s high energy and entertaining.

Today was the second evening chic night... lobster night in the dining room. The lobsters were so good. Of course I paired it with a NY strip steak. Very nice meal! The baked Alaska dessert was not that great. Wish I chose the creme brûlée. Oh well !

We decided to listen to the music in the atrium and then went to the casino. Should of just went to bed as we deposited some more money into the fortunes casino bank! Lol!

You ordered the 2 courses or asked the waiter for the surf and turf combination dish?

Ordered 2 courses. The waitress asked if I wanted both on the same plate and I said yes. She also brought out extra lobster tails for the table. Excellent service!

Day 11- At Sea

Sad day as it is the last day of the cruise. Sigh! Again woke up to beautiful weather! We started our day off at the gym and then walked the track on the upper deck. Decided to sweat some more in the sauna and drain more alcohol out of the body! Lol!

The pool deck was not that crowded- I guess people were over laying out or were too burnt to sunbathe! We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and chatted with our fellow passengers. Everyone as expected were not ready to leave and go back home to reality. We had lunch at the Mast Grill which serves hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and soft serve ice cream. The food was actually pretty good for a quick meal.

We then got ready for afternoon tea at the Blu dining room. The sandwiches were tasty and the pastries were very good. The scones were ok. I chose to have mango infused white tea. Very good as well.

We then decided to rest in the room until the show tonight. The headliner was a comedian who was much better than the first guy at the beginning of the cruise. Very funny and couldn’t stop laughing at his jokes.

After the show we decided to go to the buffet to get a quick meal and then head back to the room to pack. :(

We just finished packing and our bags are outside the room ready for collection.

Overall this was a very relaxing and fun filled cruise vacation! We really enjoyed the ship (besides the lack of loungers) and the staff. The ports of call we visited are the best of the Caribbean! Celebrity again delivered a fine vacation and look forward to book another cruise with them in the near future!

Until next cruise......

My husband and I were also on the Reflection and it was our first cruise. We had a fantastic time and it won’t be our last. The food and staff were amazing and having excellent weather was a real bonus. Our cabin 8231 was great. There was plenty of hanging space and storage. We arrived home this morning at 10 am and have started to plan another trip !

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together this wonderful review (your writing skill is amazing). We are doing the exact cruise April 1-12, 2019. We were looking at booking Dora for Cartagena also but read some reviews that claim if you don't get Dora, you will not have the same experience as the 5-star reviewers had. We don't like to be "hassled" to purchase the local wares and heard this can happen on this tour. Glad to hear your claim that Dora keeps the hard salespeople at bay. Might be enough for us to reconsider the tour.

Loved your review!!

Really enjoying your review !

Thanks for taking the time to write this. We have gone to the buffet for dinner a couple times on recent cruises and really enjoyed that option.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Im glad you enjoyed your cruise as much as we did! Our cabin was 1152---the room was very large and like you said plenty of storage! You now have the cruise addict bug, there's no turning back! lol!
