neverbeenhere Posted April 6, 2018 #26 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Cut backs - of course. All lines have cut overall costs in most areas. As for Princess- if you loved Carnival, you will likely not like Princess. G&J cruisers Posted April 6, 2018 #27 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Just curious... you said if you liked Carnival you probably wouldnt like Princess. Why not?
neverbeenhere Posted April 6, 2018 #28 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Like Apples and Tomatoes- both fruits, but very different. Carnival has a very strong tendency to appeal and cater to a partying crowd. Almost all aspects of a Carnival cruise are targeted towards the particular crowd. Not a bad thing, but very very much different in comparison to Princess’ more sedate way. Sure Princess has comedians, family friendly only. Sure people get drunk and dance on Princess cruises, but most will not be partying in the same way as a Carnival cruise....
Rare sprint180 Posted April 6, 2018 #29 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Of course there are cut backs. Never seen a diaper in the halls and yes, the pizza it terrible. But, are you there for the pizza?
Rare sprint180 Posted April 6, 2018 #30 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Just curious... you said if you liked Carnival you probably wouldnt like Princess. Why not? I have no problem with Carnival although I have only been on one cruise with them. I thought I would love Princess but it is a bit "vanilla" for me. My husband loves it though. Quiet, much older crowd then I was anticipating (but, I went to Alaska and Panama Canal, so that explains that) They are kind of boring to me. I like NCL.
