Sippy cup during boarding

I will be travelling with my husband and toddler ( 3 year old) next year on the Escape. I know we cannot bring bottled water or cans of soda on board, which is fine. My question, if my daughter has her sippy cup filled with juice to drink to keep her happy during the check in/embarkation process, will they allow that or will we have to dump it prior to getting in line? Curious if anyone has any experience with this. Not a deal breaker by any means, but having a cup of juice/water to give her definitely makes her a little happier and less cranky in situations involving waiting around and what not. Thanks in advance.

I'd have a lollipop as a back up in case they make you dump it.

Worst case you can always refill it from the water fountain after security.

I don't think they are in the business of "taking candy from a baby". They just don't want you lugging on ten bottles of water for your toddler.

I would hope that they wouldn't make them empty a toddlers sippy cup out.

I would hope a flight attendant wouldn’t stuff a small dog into the overhead bin, and yet, one did!!

They will not make you 'dump' your child's drink...but if she could finish it BEFORE boarding, how nice would that be?!
