WashyWashyHappyHappy95 Posted April 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Seems like a waste of space. How many people can realistically use it at a time....maybe 20-30? I get that it's a gimmick to get families to book Norwegian instead of RCL, but that space would have been great for a nice "quiet zone" sundeck. They try to top and one up each other. Expect more of this. Ships are becoming amusement parks. I love the variety the new cruise ships offer today so it's all good to me, but I understand what you are saying. Two Wheels Only Posted April 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Theoretically, how would a "quiet zone" be enforced? Maybe NCL isn't the cruise-line for you if you desire quiet. Maybe try Oceania?

Rare KeithJenner Posted April 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Different things appeal to different people. The go kart track holds no appeal to me. However, the same thing could have been said about the ropes courses, which I think are great and have spent a lot of time on, on the Breakaway, Getaway and Escape. Decide what you like and take that into account when deciding what trips to take. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare BirdTravels Posted April 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Much better use of the space than a basketball court and ropes course.
Rare shof515 Posted April 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2018 when ncl saw the numbers of the go kart being successful on the joy, it seems like a no brainier to try it on a regular ship

mugtech Posted April 21, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 21, 2018 I prefer bump cars, so I'll be sailing on RCI.
JAMESCC Posted April 21, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 21, 2018 (edited) I prefer bump cars, so I'll be sailing on RCI.That is very cool. Saw them in action on Anthem last September. It was fun, that whole sports deck is really fun, a really awesome use of space. DCLCrazy Posted April 21, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 21, 2018 We booked the Bliss bc of the go carts and the laser tag, so it seems NCL understands families. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Sent from my iPhone using Forums That depends on the family. Ours prefers other things. What is important are options. That’s a reason why not every ship is identical.
