Port of Manhattan Help?

does anyone know what dock # they usually use - need to give it to a limo service

Does Insignia offer transportation to the airports for a price?

How crazy is it at the port when we depart

The ship should be at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, on 12th Ave. The motor vehicle entrance is at 12th Ave. and 55th St. There's no way to know in advance which of the three piers, 88, 90 or 92, the ship will be using. It doesn't matter as the piers are adjacent to each other, at 48th St., 50th St., and 52nd St., respectively. Your driver will find the right pier.

Size of the crowds at the port is going to be dependent on how many ships are in port that day.

Here's the 2018 port schedule. You can look up how many ships are in port that day: https://www.nycruise.com/schedule/

We are onboard Marina now, pier 90. Last year Insignia was at pier 88.

Oceania offers airport transfers but they are overpriced and you pay per person. Cabs will be cheaper. Walk across 12th Avenue to a taxi stand, or better yet walk up to 11th Avenue for plentiful taxis.

Uber Lyft are even less expensive than a cab. We’ve also used Carmel, a car service company for city and airport transfers.

If the OP chooses to use the taxi stand at 12th Avenue and 48th street be aware there are sometimes unauthorized hustlers near there. They offer rides but you end up paying way too much. The cab stand has a uniformed dispatcher to direct taxi loading.

Car service would be your best bet. Dial 7 has a good reputation.

Agree 100% about Dial 7, they have always been good. When booking just tell them the dock "O" gives you--any changes on cruise day won't be a problem just tell your driver. Plus as you drive up you'll see the ship he/she will know where to drop you.

It sounds like you will be flying in the same day as the cruise. You should be aware that New York airports, especially Newark (EWR) are crazy. The slightest weather (eg drizzle) causes delays.

In the winter there is a very real chance of cancellation due to snow.

Personally I would fly in the night before.
