Group Cruises

What happened to the Cruise Critic group cruises? I went on one once and had a good time, and enjoyed a great deal on a cruise with minimal hassle.

 

I used to see them posted all over the place here on Cruise Critic, but I do not see any now.

 

What happened - were they discontinued or made "hush-hush"?

I was gone for years too :D.

 

Yes, I wonder as well. Maybe it was unwanted competition - cruise lines want us to book directly with them now? Anyone else have any ideas why?

I hadnt noticed, just that there seemed to be fewer places to go on this site.... but you are right.

 

Im thinking of a particular group and the guy putting them together became a TA so maybe they didnt want to promote TAs for their own benefit?

 

But yea where are they, I dont know how to get a hold of them now.

I think they did away with them because they have their own booking agents now and they dont get as many perks for group cruises, so its more work that they dont feel is worth it to them :)
