Thanks ! Sailor-1959 Are you actually going to buy the UBP or do you mean just selecting it as a promo? Just want to make sure you are aware that most of us are able to get the UBP free as a promo. The same 20% service charge still usually applies however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've seen promotions for the "free" UBP too. My main concern was when might the Service-Charge be billed. It's already been answered but if it was charged per drink... I could have control over how much I'd be charged. That said... I do appreciate your input. Thanks, Sailor-1959

As you mentioned it has already been answered. But here is some additional al information. And as you found out it is charged on the package price of $89/day. So for a 7 day cruise, the service charge is $124.60 and is paid at time of final payment or at time of package purchase. If you however decide not to take the package as a promo and also decide not to purchase the package, then you will just be charged for whatever drinks you order onboard and at that time you will be charge 20% of each drink you purchase. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks ! Sailor-1959 $17.80/day so be sure to drink at least two to three alcoholic drinks a day or some soda's/etc. to get your monies worth. We found it very easy to get out monies worth on the last cruise. A drink or two by the pool during the day. A glass of wine at dinner. Another drink or two for the nightly show. Maybe one at Howl at the Moon. Definitely was worth the $17.80/day.

One other question begs asking: On NCL "Sky" there's "Free Open Bar" that's automatically included in the price of the cruise. How is the Service-Charge (20%?) handled ??? Sailor-1959 It works differently on those ships. Since the open bar is included for everyone, the DSC is higher on those cruises (ithink around $22-23 per person per day) vs $14.
