Kadynolan Posted May 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2018 trying to go cheap on this next cruise. I would have to be the one to sleep on the pull out bed. Good idea or bad idea? I'm not a little girl, I weigh 175. Got 8 months hoping to lose 25 if that helps. I don't want to fall off and hurt myself.
klfrodo Posted May 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2018 If cheap outweighs comfort and privacy,,, go cheap. The bunk won't collapse
cb at sea Posted May 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2018 They are MADE for adults...no worries. It's a standard twin...if you can do that size, then you can easily do the bunk.
Bonnie J. Posted May 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2018 The upper bunks usually have a 'rail' so you can' fall off the bed. Ladder up is next to it. It will be folded up when the steward comes in the morning to make up the cabin and it will be pulled down at night. Cheap is an inside cabin which we have no trouble with. Mike981 Posted May 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2018 We have done an inside room with our family of four a few times. The only problem I can see is climbing/descending the ladder. Otherwise you will be fine. My kids were adult size and never felt unsafe.
