IF.... EXCURSION QUESTION ... (sort of)

I rented a bungalow on Coco Cay but weather report shows rain. Even if the ship (Enchantment of the Seas) stops there we wouldn't be using it... Do they refund us the money we paid or are we SOL ?

 

Does anyone know the latest we can cancel it? We sail Monday and Coco Cay stop is scheduled for Wednesday. Thank you

I believe you can cancel up until 48 hours prior. If you are already on the ship it will be posted to your on board account. I would call RCI to confirm.

Typically one must cancel 48 hours prior for excursions so I suspect this is case here to get a refund. You would need to cancel on embarkation day to get a credit to your onboard account.

If it's just raining, there is no canceling...if they don't GO to Coco cay, you will be refunded.

If you simply choose, at the last minute, not to go, then you are SOL.

If it's rain with wind, the port stop will be cancelled.

 

I truly would not worry about rain that day.

Weather reports in the Bahamas/Caribbean should be taken with a grain of salt (other than named storms). It may technically be forecast to rain in Coco Cay but the island never sees a drop as the storm is miles off shore, in all of our cruises we have really only had one whole day ruined because of rain. That was last year on Harvest Cay in Belize (NCL)

 

It has rained on us multiple times in the past, but nothing usually lasting more than 10 minutes. Of course your mileage may vary.
