Harmony-?'s

Recommended Posts

Sailing Harmony July 7, 2018.

-Is Harmony one of the ships that offers the online waiver ahead of time? I didn't see it & want to make sure I didn't miss it.

Or do I need to wait to be onboard the ship?

-We have iPhones, can someone please explain to myself, a non-techy, exactly how we can text each other on board without buying Voom. I know there is some loophole that allows texting to work for now. What setting do we put our phone on & do we need to connect to something in some way on the ship? I really need a step by step of how to do this properly.

-Any things unique to Harmony that we need to see (such as the King of the World spot) that my family will say "Wow, how did you know to look for this?"

-I booked certain cabins that are going to be a surprise to my family that I wanted to keep a secret until we are on the ship, but it looks like now everyone has to have their own set sail pass & cabin info is on it...any suggestions on how I can still keep this a secret? Does each person have to handle their own set sail pass at check in counter? Or can I take care of all 4? If I can keep them from seeing the papers & if I can tell the person checking us in not to mention the cabins, I should still be ok with the secret.

-How does the Royal IQ app enhance our experience on the Harmony? Do we need it for anything specific?

-Does Harmony still offer the Cruise in Review DVD? (Was disappointed that Freedom did not on our last cruise)

-Does Harmony's Casino offer 3-2 Blackjack at a $25 minimum or lower table?

Thank you in advance for any help.

My wife and I opted to purchase voom so we could communicate with each other via messenger and post pics to social media. Royal IQ is a lot cheaper. You can communicate with anyone who is also using the app. and it apparently gives you daily info that is in the Compass. We did not purchase Royal IQ. I was very happy with WiFi coverage with Zoom. SET YOUR PHONE TO AIRPLANE MODE BEFORE SETTING FOOT ON THE SHIP. Otherwise they will suck up your data usage.:cool:

  • 2 weeks later...
Cruise is getting closer.

Hoping someone can add to answering my questions please.

Put your phones in Airplane mode, connect to Royal WiFi service, and you should be able to use iMessage for free. No app needed.

At check in all of the set sail passes where in my hands, so nobody else saw them. But then for some reason when going through the photo area and upstairs they wanted each person to have their passes in hand. So I handed them out and collected them back after passing this person.

On the front of the ship in the adults only Solarium area there is a deck that overlooks the front of the ship with a glass bottom. Good photo spot but very windy.

I was told you need to download the RoyalIQ app before you board. Is this correct?

Thanks.

You could download it onboard, but you would either need to be in port and use your cellular data, or you would have to purchase the ship's WIFi package.
