Check In Times - How strict is Carnival?

It depends on the port. Miami with larger cruise ships and bigger crowds tend to be more strict and require that you wait until your assigned boarding time. Ports like Long Beach which have smaller ships tend to be more flexible -  they have a special line for early/late arrivals. The easiest will always be to arrive after noon, as the crowds will have dissipated. We book last minute most of the time, so our boarding times are always 2:30 PM or later, but if we arrive around noon, go in the early/late line, we usually get on-board with no major lineups or waits.

We have a boarding time of 12:00 for the Paradise out of Tampa. We will arrive at our parking garage (off-site) about 11:30, to give us enough time to shuttle over and drop the bags with the porters. It may end up being a few minutes early, but it won’t be substantial. My hope is that we are onboard between 12:30-1, so we can go up to the Lido deck and enjoy some lunch. ❤️
