No, $96/day plus gratuities for a couple is too much. Totalling $864 + gratuities in 9 days.

How many drinks will you and your partner together consume on port days, when you are out for almost the whole day?

 

Even if you are ashore almost the whole day it's easy enough to fit in 4 drinks between 6 and midnight. A drink before dinner, an aperitif and a couple during the evening isn't undoable or unthinkable on vacation. (And I know for us that once our excursion is over we typically go right back onboard to enjoy some pool time, so that gives us a little extra time for some drinks.)

Don't forget that the UBP also includes specialty coffees, fresh squeezed OJ and bottled water. You can easily meet your drink "requirement" even on port days.

We had package 6 times all but one was less than 48, last one was 41

I was watching prices for our 9/16 Allure cruise- it has been $48 but dropped to $42 last night, so I bought. Now I have to get into training I suppose....:D:D

Are you considering getting an internet package also? You can usually buy a drink/internet package combined for a lot less than what the two packages sell for individually.

Just make sure you drink enough to justify the price. The higher the price, the more you drink. Easy peasy.
