A very basic question

We've sailed on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Princess, but never Norwegian.

After we've told some relatives how much we enjoy cruising, they've booked a family cruise on Norwegian. I've given lanyards, retractable lanyards, and luggage tag holders as little bon voyage gifts. Does Norwegian use what other lines call Set Sail cards for charging items on board and room entry; I believe some lines are now using wrist bands? IIRC, they'll be on the Escape.

Any other gift suggestions? The children are 7 (boy) and two girls, 11 and 13.

Thanks for your help.

Lip Balm

Glow Necklaces (or glow sticks) for the Glow Party on Deck

Since they are new to cruising how about gifting a couple of battery operated tea lights to use as a nightlight in the bathroom. Turning on that light in the middle of the night is awful!!

You might consider making a "Cruise Survival" gift bag, including the lanyards, sunscreen, ginger candy just in case the seas get too rough, lip gloss, sun glasses, coloring books and crayons/colored pencils, and other things that you might think would make their cruise enjoyable.

Love all the other ideas! Depends how much you want to spend, but.......Air freshener, magnetic hooks, unique magnetic door sign, cheap over the door shoe holder, disposable water proof camera for each child.

We solve that by never turning it off.

Same here. The bathroom light stays on all the time. When the door is closed and the room is dark, it gives off just a tiny glow - enough to light your way there.

These are some great ideas. Some are things we bring ourselves (like the magnets), but didn’t think of including.

I’m going to have so much fun putting a gift bag together.

Thanks so much for the suggestions.

And then you open the door and the bright light blinds you and brightens up the entire cabin.

You could use a beach bag to put it all in! So thoughtful of you! You could always add a dirty laundry bag if you haven't already thought of it. (I have a collapsible one) but also have used a 13gal plastic trash bag. Wander around the dollar store, you may see things you never thought of.
