Boatdrill Posted June 13, 2018 #51 Share Posted June 13, 2018 I told them their Sea of Cortez itinerary (for which I am booked) shows La Paz/Pinchelingue as being below Puerto Vallarta...a big mistake, and makes HAL look foolish. Karen What date ?? This I have to see !
MajMom96 Posted June 13, 2018 #52 Share Posted June 13, 2018 Walk with your feet (and dollars) if you’re not satisfied. That’s Capitalism at its best! Trust me, if enough people “walk”, they will either make changes or go out of business. It’s the American way! Our next cruise after luckily falling into our upcoming Maasdam InDepth cruise this September ..on the old Website .... will be on Voyages to Antiquity. Smaller ship, high enrichment and unique itinerary - just the opposite of the way the new HAL is going. And hopefully they will have dinner plates with rims on them so the knife does not fall into the sauce. I not yet been able to figure out how to explore the new website looking for the special and unique HAL cruises we have enjoyed so much in the past that have added up to almost 500 days. We don't take the routine itinerary ones. It was always the ease of exploration on the old website that led to our next and often highly unique HAL cruises. I could not even find the upcoming Voyage of the Vikings choices on either the old or new websites. That is crazy.
iancal Posted June 13, 2018 #54 Share Posted June 13, 2018 We also vote with our feet and with our wallets. Cannot see anything positive in sticking with a vendor, a cruise line etc. if we are not happy or if their product turns out to be less than promised. We are creatures of habit, but sticking with a poorly performing vendor or one that does not live up to the expectations set is not one of those habits. sail7seas Posted June 13, 2018 #55 Share Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) Yup, that's what I'm hearing, too. Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted, wasn't it?:) INDeed........... Lots of fun But, Where did T HAT H A L go? Who took their logo, their style, ran off when we weren't watching and left behind a shadow o f it's former self? Where did this imitation HAL come from? Please give us back the logo and bring back the best of HAL some of us were so lucky to experience and are not yet ready to lose. bUU Posted June 14, 2018 Author #56 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Yes, well, I don't give a crap anymore. Philosophize away about the trends of the fleeting moment. When one is far from the fray in a corporate office, it's easy to discount the human cost. Except, of course, if that cost is imagined. Walk with your feet (and dollars) if you’re not satisfied. That’s Capitalism at its best! Trust me, if enough people “walk”, they will either make changes or go out of business. It’s the American way! [emoji106] Agreed. I do appreciate the source of the reluctance though: All the other cruise lines at the same price point are doing the same kind of things and the only way to get what folks want is to spend more than these mainstream cruise lines charge. bUU Posted June 14, 2018 Author #57 Share Posted June 14, 2018 I commented on both the farce of the "O" programs on my last cruise, and a direct hit on the farce of honoring Denella Richard as an upcoming HAL "communications" specialist listed in your link. Did you miss them? Or perhaps they were removed from this website. Perhaps. Though it could have been either. I don't see your posts very much anymore. Regardless, I apologize if I missed your missive besmirching "O" and Ri'chard. I did find this morning your complaints in response to Oprah being named godmother of the Nieuw Statendam, which is of course another clear indication of the cruise line aiming to satisfy a set of customers from which you've chosen to exclude yourself. But they have an awful website too, so there’s still that issue! 🤣🤣 Sent from my iPad using Forums

bUU Posted June 14, 2018 Author #62 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Let the word wars continue. That's your decision but understand that that decision is the source of the "argument". Regardless, things are changing. Ten years ago no one who shared my insights would stick around more than a few weeks when confronted by the typical browbeating from traditionalists. Now, there are several folks who have stuck around regardless. And as the cruise line grows further into serving those passengers they will become more present in the forum.
