Camelia- Posted June 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2018 Hi everyone! We have tentatively booked a transatlantic cruise in the Fall of 2019 on the Sky Princess. It is due to arrive in Fort Lauderdale on December 1st. We've decided it would be great to get off the Sky Princess and embark on the Allure of the Seas which leaves that same day. My question is about travelling from the one terminal to the other. I don't think a taxi would be happy to pick us up since we're not leaving the area but lugging heavy luggage around for long distances isn't appealing either. I think I remember that this isn't uncommon but not sure how practical it is? It would be so much easier to stay on the same ship I guess! Has anyone done this? I thought I read something about a shuttle but I think that goes to the parking area only? Many thanks for any insights!! Camelia
dd likes to cruise Posted June 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2018 I’m sure a taxi would do it for you, just offer to pay more than what the miles would be. They shouldn’t mind, as they could get right back in line a pick up another fare quicker too.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2018 Is it easier to stay on the same ship? Yes and even more so if you can keep the same room. But don't let switching ships worry you. The worst is you take a taxi and give the driver a nice tip. Keith

Garth2 Posted June 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2018 You could also try 2 ships from the same cruise line. We did it in Port Canaveral & they escorted us over to the other ship.
