Has cas changed its formula for comps and upgrades? I called today and instead of the usual comped offer of balcony she started telling me what my total gambling was last cruise and then lowered it by my wins. Then offered me 20% off any 7 day cruise and nothing off 10 day cruises. My gambling was way up the last cruise but I did have one huge win. I would think they would want to offer you more to get you back on board to recoup what I won....what am I missing this time? In the past I have always been offered a balcony and could upgrade for a certain amount to a suite or haven. Now I was told that wasn't an option.

With NCL/CAS if you win and especially a big win they actually penalize you with crappy offers compared to if you just lost

 

You’d think like other casinos they’d want you back even more to recoup their losses

 

Makes no sense but I’ve heard the same thing from other players who’ve Won jackpots on their cruise only to be then given a sad offer

When I had a "nice" win on Carnival, they sent me the best offers after that such as almost free cabins $125pp for a balcony. We used to say that the offers were so good because they wanted me to spend my winnings on their ships. Not so on Norwegian.

offers used to be based on theoretical loss or actual loss, whichever was higher.

 

now it's only based on real losses. :mad:

One thing is for sure, when the offers dry up so will my business with NCL. Carnival has already lost me and I have no problem finding another cruise line or another type of vacation. I already have 12 nights comped in Biloxi and another 12 nights comped in Las Vegas. What makes absolutely no sense to me is that CCL, over the course of winning and losing during the past six years, are at least 15k ahead of me. It makes no business sense to dry up my offers because I won 3k on my last cruise. Yes after that 3k win no more offers from CCL.
