Sucks about the train, but I guess mother nature is in charge. Your pictures of the Orca's and the Humpback's reminded me of the one's I took on a excursion out of Ketchikan last year, put it in burst mode and just keep shooting. Now I can't wait to try out the new camera and see what I can do with it.

The Denali Star had just arrived from its trip from Fairbanks.

We headed out for the airport. Since we were planning on eating on the train, dinner would have to wait for the airport.

So we arrived at 8;40 pm, made sure all the bags were tagged and went to check our bags. We had to wait, because it was over 4 hours before the flight. So we waited near Alaska Airlines Check-in and the exit from the gates.

 

 

Finally at 9:55 pm we checked our bags on our flight, exactly 4 hours to go. Once we passed through Security, where our fudge got secondary screening, we went to Silver Gulch Brewing.

We splurged and bought all of us first class tickets for our flight. Jenny and Jenner still hadn't figured it out. Alaska Airlines Board Room privileges come with first class tickets.

Good Morning! As the clock turned to Tuesday, we were still up!

We headed out of the board room a few minutes before one, as it closes at 1 am. We headed to gate C2 to board our flight to Seattle.

 

 

We boarded our flight and got settled into our seats.

I closed the window, closed my eyes, and fell asleep. I don't even remember the safety briefing.

 

 

I awoke to us on final approach to Seattle.
