IECalCruiser Posted July 4, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 4, 2018 We just got off the Ruby a week or so ago and those menus look like last years menus. We like the new menus items better than last years menu items. The Ruby, and possibly the Star, are testing new menus and those are what you had. Other ships still appear to be using last year's menus which are included in this thread.

SharkieRools Posted July 17, 2018 #28 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Ruby Princess Alaska menus were posted here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2639827 We did a 1 nighter on the Ruby a few months ago (because we live close and can ;p ) and even though only experienced 1 dinner in the MDR we liked the new menu format. Looking at the menus some old time favorites are in there, along with a couple of new items. Baked potato soup has been added to the always available menu, and the chicken and salmon on there have a different preparation each night (although can probably ask for them plain as well.) Different breads and spread each night as well, although regular butter available as well. Not a fan of the "Crown Grill Selects" with a surcharge, rather pay a bit more and have the whole Crown Grill experience instead. Lastly there is either a burger of some sort/roast beef/turkey rotating on the menu as well. (As a side note, I don't believe the burger replaced the beef tournedos on the always available menu as they both coexisted until the beef went away)
capriccio Posted July 18, 2018 #29 Share Posted July 18, 2018 Damn. I'd be interested to know what the Ruby will be serving the week of the 28th. There are ruby menus from a trip review on here from the last month or so. Should be the same or similar for that trip. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2639827 We enjoyed the new menus and the Local Eats (Alaskan seafood) that were on the menu a number of nights on our June 30 - July 7 cruise.
