Ft. Lauderdale hotel suggestions please.

Looking for recommendations for a hotel close to the port. Possibly with airport AND cruise terminal shuttle included. Staying 2 nights before the cruise. Don't want super expensive, but don't want a dump either. I looked at link posted in cruise critic for hotels in the area, but wanted personal reviews if anyone has them. Thanks!

There are dozens of threads here on hotels in Ft Lauderdale. Be aware we can't recommend a hotel unless we have stayed there, per Cruise Critic rules. So what you read should be based on experience. We have stayed at Embassy Suites several times, it works well, and meets your criteria.

As commonly discussed here, don't over fixate on free shuttles. The distances around the Port are are pretty small, taxis (and Uber) are plentiful and inexpensive.

If you go to the blue line at the top of the page, find "search boards" enter Ft lauderdale hotels by thread, not posts, and there are 410 threads that can shed some light on what you are looking for. However, dates have a huge factor on availability and price. For reviews I suggest googling on a specific hotel.

We stayed 3 nights pre-cruise in December at the Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn and would definitely stay there again. Although it does not have any shuttles, it is close to both the airport and the cruise port, so taxi/Uber costs will not be high. (I think we paid $15 to the port.)

On the other hand, it offers a very decent included breakfast.

It is very close to beach (on the same side of the busy main road) and unless you have mobility issues it is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Price-wise it cost us under $130 a night plus tax, but our dates were still fairly low season so that could make a difference for you depending on when you plan to stay. The price would also depend on the type of room. We had the very cheapest one, overlooking the wall of the hotel next door, but they do have rooms with balconies overlooking the swimming pool.
