We're on the same cruise and parking directly at the port. Check the East Coast Departures board (link below) for specifics about Bayonne and surrounding area. Lots of discussions about parking there.

Bayonne is a highly industrialized urban area where you must be selective about where you leave your car. The port is unimpressive, but it is a secured area. For a 7 day cruise park at the port.

Another option is to book a park, sleep, cruise package through trinityreservations.com. For your date it's $222 tax included for a room at the Ramada, 21 days parking, and round trip port transportation.

Have parked at the port a number of times. Never a security concern. On-site parking might be a little more expensive than off-site, but we're off the boat, in the car and on the road in ten minutes. Don't have the patience to wait who knows how long for a shuttle.

We have done off site parking (once) at Bayonne and it was successful but a bit of a nail biter. The guy who shuttled us from the lot to the cruise port was great and managed to evade most of the traffic. We did park early and I would recommend doing the same to avoid any possible snags with traffic and the etc.

I think it would also be good to call ahead a few lots and get an idea about their price and policy of dropping off and picking up. There is nothing worse then being able to see the ship but to be stuck in traffic. For us it was not close to time but ya know you can’t wait to get on the ship?

We have also paid for parking at the dock twice and then you have to face the prospect of sitting in traffic that crawls for a while.

So we have had pretty good luck coming and going for both options.

For either option at least you won’t be doing it like we did in the cold and snow.

Have a great cruise from a great American port!
