cabins on the rivieria deck......under the pool area

I just booked a last minute caribbean princess cruise and was able to get a balcony on he riviera deck. BC category. The deck above is the Lido deck and it looks like we are right under the pool area. Should I prepare myself for extra loud noises? How bad could it be?

You didn't specify which ship, nor where on the Riviera deck, but not to worry, as I can't recall which ships nor specific rooms on the Riviera deck we've had! However, we've never had a problem, and we had inside rooms, which I would think would be more susceptible to noise. In fact, we tend to look there first for a cabin, all other things being equal. Should be smooth sailing. steve

It is the Caribbean princess Room R317. I am sure it will be fine. We are not fussy. I was just happy to get a balcony in such short notice. We leave In a few weeks. Thx

We've been on that ship under the pool and on the Diamond princess below the Horizon court and never found noise to be a problem.

From the deck plans, it appears that your cabin will be underneath the Salty Dog Grill. That could mean you won't hear people scooting chairs around like you would if your cabin was farther aft.

If you are right under the pool area, I would try to move cabins if at all possible. How bad could it be?? We were right under the Trident Grill before and the noise was horrible.

When you are out on your deck, you may get splashed from people jumping into the pool;p

What cabin area?

We had a cabin right under the Lido deck one time and that will be the last time. Was right under the pool area and head noises late at night and very early in the morning. Never again.

We have had R508 inside right under pool and only noise I heard was from the empty space behind/next to our room...no music from the deck or chairs being placed out...I am a light sleeper.

You might want to keep double checking to see if they are moving things around and a better cabin in that category opens up.

One more forward??? Or one on the Lido. (Easy pool access!)

We don't know what sailing you are on, but many of these upcoming sailings do show some balconies available.

Never hurts to keep checking! It would be easy enough to request a same-category cabin change.

If we book on Riviera Deck it will be in the 600-700 range only.

Never had issues under the carpeted area of the HC and it has great access outside to the aft pool and HC.
