cruiserbie Posted July 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2018 Hello, I am looking at the Eurodam reposition cruise and the price for the full obstructed view room is $10 cheaper than the partial ocean view room. The stateroom is "guaranteed" so I could not select the cabin. Could you please provide some insights whether it's worth it or not to pay $10 extra (after everything tax and fees). I saw picture of the obstructed view that's blocked by the lifeboats. Thanks
TrolleyGirl Posted July 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2018 To me it is not worth the difference. If my cruise is 7 days long and there are 2 of us, I would rather save the $140. The only difference in my opinion is the amount of sunlight that is allowed to enter the room, neither have a good view.
OVgirl Posted July 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2018 I wouldn't pay the extra $10 either. And if you are going to get a higher category because of your guarantee, I doubt that the extra $10 will make much difference.
lax19 Posted July 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2018 We were in cabin 4070 on the Eurodam last month. It was advertised as fully obstructed, but we could still see past the life boat. cruiserbie Posted July 19, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted July 19, 2018 It looks like partial sea view is not worth it and I should just get the obstructed view then. What’s the difference between the two?
bennybear Posted July 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2018 If it is only $10 I would pay it in a heartbeat. It couldmake a big difference in amount you can see and the light.
Rare ski ww Posted July 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2018 A fully obstructed means you're looking at a life boat across your entire window, the partial you're looking between two life boats. They both have natural day light if that's what you want.
