39august Posted July 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2018 Still debating whether to buy a dinning package. Is one of the nights required to be first night? We do not like specialty dinning on the first night, So if that is a requirement, we will not be interested.
lovescarborough Posted July 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2018 When you book you will be given the option of booking either the first or second night. The restaurant isn't specified but as soon as you board you should find someone selling speciality dining or call at one of the restaurants and they will sort out all your table reservations. Best to do this as soon as you can as some restaurants are booked up quicker than others.

We do not like specialty dinning for the first night, So if that is a requirement, we will not be interested. I purchased a four night specialty dining package at 6:30pm on the Solstice (departing Auckland, NZ on 12 Feb 2019), and I was not required to book a reservation on the first night. All I need to do is to stop by the Guest Relations desk when I get onboard and let them know which restaurants I want to eat in on which night. That simple. jelayne Posted July 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Don’t stand in line at Guest Relations. There is a crew member in the terminal just before you head to the ship making dinner reservations. If that person is busy there is a table as you enter where you can make reservations, you can also do this at the Oceanview Cafe where there will be some one at both interior entrances making reservations. Also there are staff in each of the speciality restaurants who can make your reservations for any of the restaurants.
