3 choices, one day: which Island would you choose?

We have one day in the port of Naples. We have visited Capri, Amalfi and Pompeii.

 

So....of these 3 islands, which would you select for the day visit: Capri ( again), Ischia or Procida?

I haven't visited Procida, fair warning.

 

I was somewhat disappointed in Ischia; guess I expected more after reading others' comments. The highlight of my day spent there was visiting some (scant) ruins of the original Punic settlement and seeing Nestor's Cup in the Archaeological museum of Pithecusae.

 

I do like Capri despite the tourists. If you haven't done the hike up to Villa Jovis, it's worth the trip.

That's a shame. I've never figured out why Tuesday seems to be the day of closures in this area -- the Archaeological Museum in Naples is also closed on Tuesdays.

I would visit the magnificent palace in Caserta, easy by train. They filmed one of the Star Wars films there. Then return for pizza in Naples. I too was underwhelmed by Ischia, not enough Time to really see it.

Caserta is also closed on Tuesdays. Herculaneum is open daily.

Of the three islands the OP asked about, I would go back to Capri.
