susancruzs Posted August 14, 2018 #102 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Thank you for wonderful pictures, including London, amazing city, brings back memories! I'm doing a fjord cruise 2019, a late season cruise. I don't cruise in summer, glad to see Princess do a later Norway cruise. I live in the Midwest, weather isn't a problem, never bothers me but could be an issue. I've never criticized a cruise because of weather, but I know late October in Norway, could go either direction! :D Thanks again!
FishinChris Posted August 15, 2018 Author #103 Share Posted August 15, 2018 Olden Our bus stopped for a 10 minute photo stop on its way to the first glacier. At our first hike we had to walk through this very nice farm. it was interesting seeing the beauty around us all the while this tractor was spreading liquid fertilizer, ah the smell of fresh country air. FishinChris Posted August 15, 2018 Author #104 Share Posted August 15, 2018 We were served a nice salmon lunch before we hiked the next glacier trail. A few of us were pleased to see a complimentary beer at our table ready for consumption, especially after the first sweaty hike. This is where we learned how to read alcohol free in Norwegian. The coffee was good.
FishinChris Posted August 15, 2018 Author #105 Share Posted August 15, 2018 There was beautiful scenery everywhere you looked while hiking up to the Briksdal glacier.
FishinChris Posted August 15, 2018 Author #106 Share Posted August 15, 2018 These are the Troll cars that will shuttle you close to the end of the trail. The walk was pretty easy compared to the one we did earlier.

FishinChris Posted August 16, 2018 Author #113 Share Posted August 16, 2018 The next day had more scenic cruising with a stop in Hellesylt where those with a Princess excursion could tender off to meet their bus and meet up with the ship in Geiranger. We stayed on the ship until Geiranger where we had a bicycle tour planned. Lots to photograph on this cruise. There was dancing on the Promenade. It was a happy ship. FishinChris Posted August 16, 2018 Author #114 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Not sure all seven sisters were present as we cruised past the Seven Sisters waterfall. The Suitor waterfall.
FishinChris Posted August 16, 2018 Author #115 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Lots of waterfalls. Lots of campers as well. One great thing about being the only cruise ship in port in Geiranger was the Seawalk. We were supposed to tender but were able to use the floating dock. The only negative was that our bicycle tour meet up was at 2 pm in the Princess theater and we could have walked off at noon. It just gave us time for lunch before we left. Actually we were on a cruise its always lunch somewhere on board. Waiting for our group to be called and waiting for our group to show up. We were early. FishinChris Posted August 16, 2018 Author #116 Share Posted August 16, 2018 We rode a bus to this point where our bicycles were waiting for us. It was all downhill from here. The tour was described as an bicycle tour at your own pace but that was not true. You had to stay with the group which did a few scenic stops along the way. We are ready! Micahs Grandad Posted August 17, 2018 #122 Share Posted August 17, 2018 The London Mastaba http://christojeanneclaude.net/projects/the-london-mastaba I shot both of these photos with a 10 stop ND filter on a small travel tripod. This concludes day 1 in London. The next day we left for Portsmouth to go to the Historic Dockyard. Sheperd Market on the way to the Green Park tube station. Just in Hyde Park and loved that scuplture coming out of the water
