sleepbestonships Posted August 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Ugh- I know- tipping questions are the worst. For the Sky where the beverage package is included for all adult cruisers and the service charge is higher than on ships where this is not the case, are the bartenders given a portion of the service charge? I would presume they would be, as it seems that is what the extra service charge is for, but I know my presumptions are not always correct. Rare BirdTravels Posted August 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2018 The bar tenders and wait staff get part of the daily service charge. We still tip a buck a drink.
zqvol Posted August 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2018 NCL staff are paid a living wage salary. They do not rely on tips for part of it. Part of the service charges are used for salaries. Salaries are entirely independent of tips or service charges. The other mass market lines do not have this wage policy. It is this way on NCL because of Free Style.
