Mini Suite question

Both of those cabins have a mid-ship location and good access to elevators and stairs

just around a corner and not a problem with traffic or noise.

The Port side cabin 11568 is located right under the Rug rats (Splash) Academy and

should pose no problems unless the wee ones start a march of the sugar plum fairy

on your ceiling. The Starboard side 11068 is not too bad but the forward adjacent

cabin 11066 is right under one of the restrooms on the deck above - noise and suppression

of those vacuum operated facilities questionable also there is a passageway right over

this cabin going from the pool to the buffet - I would go with the port side.

Either balcony would be covered (sheltered) by the deck floor above.

The mini-suites are slightly larger than the balcony cabins. When 3 girls traveled we opted for a minisuite for some extra space in the cabin, and the tub in the bathroom (vs. shower only in balcony cabin). This is for GEM, which we've cruised on many times--Jewel twice.

As another posted pointed out, what you are under (or over) matters. We cruised with family who had a mini-suite under an uncarpeted area in the Garden Cafe and they asked to be moved after one night of noise from the kitchen area.

When is the Gem doing a pacific coastal? I thought the Gem was doing mostly east coast' date=' and Canada.[/quote']

Deck plans for sister ships isn't really relevant to the question I had asked the OP, now is it?
