Can I add a gift card to sign and sail via a kiosk?

Once I get on board if I want to add gift cards to my sign and sail account do I have to go to guest services? Or can I just use the kiosk? I’d rather not wait in the line if I can avoid it. I’ve also considered buying cruise cash before hand with the gift cards and applying that to my sign and sail. I am guessing I can do that before I board??

You can buy cruise cash with gift cards, but remember it is non-refundable so buy only what you know you will use.

I have read here that you can apply them at the kiosks.

I buy cruise cash, and add more at guest services when necessary. There are many times of the day and evening when there's little to no line.

Happy sailing.

The kiosks say you can add gift cards and I’ve read of people doing it. I have never been able to but I have only tried on a couple of ships. It would error and say to go to Guest Services. I always have the account set up with a credit card so I just wait until later in the cruise when there is no line to apply my gift cards.

My experience with the kiosks and GC's is as others have mentioned - though it's advertised you can apply the GC's to your on board account with the kiosk, it will often spit out and error saying to visit Guest Services. Either that or the line at the kiosk is about as long as the GS line.

You can use the gift cards at the kiosks or at guest services.

The advantage to kiosks is that you can apply a partial balance from the gift card. Guest services will almost always apply the full balance, even when you've asked them to only apply a certain amount.

  • 2 weeks later...
is there kiosk's on Carnival Miracle ?

there are kiosk on all ships

It seems to depend on the kiosk. It is supposed to work, but last time both of the kiosks wouldn't allow me to key in the number, so I had to go to guest services

the guest service manager says that none of the ships will allow you to add gift cards at the kiosk even though it shows that you should be able to they don't allow it anymore I guess because of all kinds of fraud with the giftcards

We've used the kiosks numerous times to add gift cards to our accounts. We will add a few at a time over the course of a week.

The only problem we had was the lines at the kiosks--we've learned to go at off-peak times.

We will not stand in line at Guest Services.

I tried to add gift cards at two kiosks on the breeze and it didn't work. I just wait until a time when there's no line a guest services and add them then.

Not sure but the last 2 ships I have been on which was in June and just this past week both ships I was unable to add via kiosk and was told it could only be done at guest services

You can add your cruise cash to your casino bank account on a slot machine and then just cash it out and take your sail and sign card to the casino cage and cash out a get real cash.
