Wine corkage fee in NCL Escape

Hi everyone. We want to bring our own wine to NCL Escape. Does anyone know how much wine corkage fee costs in MDR?

You can bring as much wine on board as you want. It has to be handcarried. But, you pay corkage on every bottle you bring onboard, regardless on where it is consumed. So, if you bring a bottle on board and drink it in the MDR, you pay corkage. If you bring a bottle on board and drink it in your room, you pay corkage.

I assume bringing wine is allowed because it is not in the list of prohibited items at:

https://www.ncl.com/prohibited-items

Thanks.

Are you considering bringing cheap two-buck chuck stuff (pardon if not) or something from your own vault

of memorable note.

NCL does have a wine program called VIVA VINO LINK:

Consider that there is no corkage fee but there are gratuities -

The bottles can be kept in your stateroom and used as needed -

Or NCL can keep them in its own vault and serve them on demand -

Contents not consumed in one serving are corked and made available at the next seating -

For around $100 on the low end 4 750ml bottles is about $25 a bottle

You own brought on board is going to cost the $15 corkage fee each and what it cost you to

buy it on the outside and then the effort labor to haul it onboard the ship and the possibility of breakage -

Your call - - -

The 750ml bottles pour 6 - 4 ounce servings or 4 - 6 ounce servings -

Conservatively 4 bottles should be fine for a party of 2 on a 7 day voyage

The package offers a minimum of 4 bottles and in even amounts after that.

Your cabin steward will provide the ice bucket for cooling the wine and the

wine glasses.

You can take the bottles with you anywhere on the ship and have any

bar or restaurant uncork and serve.

Another option is to purchase individual bottles of wine on board variable from $25 up.

Viva la Vino enjoy your wine whatever your pleasure !

Yes, as noted $15 per bottle.

As you exit the elevators at Manhattan Cruise Terminal you see airport style screening. When they see the bottle(s) in your screened luggage, they then direct you to the NCL crew member at a desk on the left just beyond the screening area. He (it's always been a "he" for us) will charge the fee to your cabin - it will appear on your final room bill as a Manhattan Room charge.

Enjoy!

With the gratuity, the cheapest package is closer to $30 a bottle, for $7 bottles of wine. We are lucky to be able to drive to the port and bring on better wine, cheaper.

In our last cruise in April with Royal, we bought a wine package. We're disappointed with some because they tasted bad.

Sent from my HTC U11 life using Tapatalk

Did you call it to the attention of the wine server ?

Did you get a replacement bottle or monetary credit for this ?

Hopefully NCL came up with a satisfactory solution ?

Never have had a bad wine situation but my tastes are

not like yours or others - sorry to read of your disappointment !

The VIVA-VINO package is a convenience alternative to the

labor of hauling and toting your own wine onboard the ship.

Can I use ship board credit for the fee?
