ddddgraceee Posted September 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Hi All, I've booked the Christmas cruise (P&O Sydney - Australia 18Dec - 28Dec pacific islands) and I was wondering if anyone on here has done a Christmas cruise before.... Do the cruise ships really get into the festive season? Do they do much decorating? Did you take the kids smaller gifts (wrapped) for them to open on the day? Thank you for any / all reply's. Yes the definitely decorate. Never cruised when my kids were small, but I’d be taking them gifts if I had.
Underwatr Posted September 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2018 On Cunard there's a nice gift on your bed when you come back from dinner on Christmas Eve (usually an item of Wedgwood, such as coffee cups or a candy dish, with a Cunard theme). Heidi13 Posted September 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Last time I did a Xmas cruise out of Sydney with P&O was many years ago, but yes the ship was well decorated and the menu included a traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2018 If you have to fly to your embarkation port, do not wrap the gifts until you get on the ship.
ddddgraceee Posted September 24, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted September 24, 2018 I live in Sydney, so no flying needed, but thank you all for your responses.
