Sassy_Lassy4u Posted September 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2018 I'm interested in attending the Prohibition Musical when I cruise on the Bliss next month. For those that have attended, can you tell me if (1) it is worth the charge to attend, and (2) if guests dress up in 1920s attire for the show? TIA for any info you can provide! CindyPie1004 Posted September 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Is it worth it? That’s a matter of opinion... We saw it last week and loved it! The story takes place in Miss Lulu’s house of ill repute the night before, wait for it... prohibition! There are 6 performers, most of them dressed as a lady of the evening. Guests do not dress up. There are 5 drinks served, reflective of the time and mostly whiskey based; these are small pours (3 or 4 sips each) so it’s not like you’ll leave tanked. It’s about an hour long so just the right amount of time. Tickets can only be purchased on board and will probably sell out quick as the show is in a smaller venue. Hope this helps. Sassy_Lassy4u Posted September 25, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Thanks for the reply! I'm going in a few weeks with a large group and we are thinking of dressing up for the show.
Sassy_Lassy4u Posted September 25, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Also, is the show only offered once or multiple times during the cruise?
Rare BirdTravels Posted September 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Also, is the show only offered once or multiple times during the cruise? The show is done in The Social (Headliners on other ships) which is a small room. It sells out fast. Book at the theater box office as soon as you embark. On our Alaska cruise, it was preformed 3 times. Once on Day 5 (7:30 pm) and twice on Day 6 - sea day 2 (7:00, 10:00). Don't know if that has changed recently. ImADaneFan Posted September 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2018 I was on the inaugural Panama Canal cruise and there were a handful of guests that dressed up. We had a great time, but none of the group we attended with really liked the drinks that were included. I would have paid to just see the show. cincicruisers Posted October 28, 2018 #15 Share Posted October 28, 2018 Can you sign up for this show and the comedy shows on the kiosk or do we need to go to headliners?

It can be done on the kiosk or the box office or the Norwegian App on your phone once on board or the tv in your cabin. You may be able to use the app while waiting in the staging area before boarding.
