AARP gift cards by mail?

I’ll be ordering mine this weekend. At least $1000 but maybe a little more like $1200.

I wonder...how do they work once on board!

I will use about $250 in fun shops, but the rest will be for things like photos, spa, casino, drinks on ship, hub app, and half moon cay drinks, etc. How do I apply these cards to my sign and sail card?

There are five in my party and we will all need to have access to the same funds (with my kids on $50 spending limits).

You are supposed to be able to apply them at guest services or a kiosk. A couple cruises ago I tried the kiosk and wasn’t able to add them that way so I just go to guest services. I have a credit card attached to my account and usually some OBC so as long as long as I add them before the end of the cruise I’m good. Once I have an idea of how much I’m going to need I will have the card number on my phone and when I see no line at guest services I’ll stop and have them applied. They haven’t had ecards lately but when they do it’s really nice. I’ve actually purchased ecards while onboard and applied them immediately. If you apply more than you use they’ll send you a new gift card in the mail after the cruise. I want to say if it’s less than $5 they donate it to charity.

Exactly the information I needed! Thanks!

or rather than loading them prior to your purchases then having to wait for a new gift card or have to cash out at the casino, just wait until the last day and go pay your cruise balance with the gift cards. There's no need to load them prior to your spending. You can use them afterward. Much easier.

When I’ve done that they’ve applied the entire amount and sent me a new card. Not a big deal. It was like a week later. Not like I was going to use it in that time anyway.

I just want anyone to stumbles upon this to know that this AARP program is super easy. I am not even old enough to be an AARP member, but for this program, it doesn't matter. You just do the quizzes and collect points. You don't even have to get a good score on the quizzes. Purchased by first set of (5) $100 gift cards. They were a total of 5000 points and a bit for shipping and $90 per card. I've asked my kids if they want me to purchase for them. Even if they only got $100 worth, that would pay for their gratuities.

They are usually available. They do run out from time to time, but in the past have generally restocked within a week or so.

I was planning to purchase only $1300 worth today, needing 13k points, and doing two $500 cards and three $100 cards. I’ve been stalking the site for two days to collect my points. Today, I log in and not a single $100 card is available. Sold out, maybe? I ended up buying three $500 instead. It took me forever to find enough quizzes to take to get another 2k points. I had almost tapped it out!

So now, anything I could ever want to buy on that ship is mine! (Insert evil cackle) I am now planning to buy two personal training sessions and do a few spa treatments. I turn 40 on my trip so I’m glad the money is already spent and I won’t have to closely track a budget.

Ordered four $100 gift cards and got them today (a week later). Went to order s'more and there were no more $100 gift cards on the site, so I ordered one $500 card.

We cruise in December, but our bill is due Oct. 16, so I didn't want to risk ordering several thousand dollars' worth of cards and not getting them back in time to pay off my balance.

If I have time tomorrow, I may do some more quizes and order another $500 card to pay for anything we get during the cruise itself, such as beverages, a massage and a few trinkets for the kids who aren't coming on our anniversary trip!

Oh, and when I got my first order, it included a code for 1,000 points.

Good to know about the 1,000 points. Sounds like you get it with each order. I ordered 2 cards today. In the future, I'll order them separately to get an extra 1,000 points!

Now that I used up all my points, I have to wait until tomorrow to begin adding more. You can accumulate up to 5,000 points per day. You get the maximum points even if your answers are incorrect!

I ordered my first two cards recently, and received them within 4 or 5 days. But I guess I got ripped off--I didn't get the extra points code in the envelope. :( On the upside, I've gotten a couple of emails that have codes for extra points so it seems to all work out. I'll definitely be ordering some additional ones to pay for my excursions (get the 10% off from AARP, and use my Carnival Mastercard to pay for them so I get my FunPoints too).

I've heard they generally restock on Mondays. The first few times I tried to get them, they were out. I checked early on a Monday morning and sure enough, there they were.

I ordered my gift cards this past Tuesday afternoon. Received confirmation and told I would get notification when my order was shipped. Never got notified. The cards arrived this past Saturday via UPS, and lucky I was home to sign for the delivery. Yes, got the code for the extra 1000 points.

Don't forget the Spanish language section. The answers don't have to be right to collect the points on these either. Lots of points to be had if you scroll down the page to them. Just keep a clicking, no comprende espanol

Omg hilarious! How did you even find this out? You just be bilingual or know someone who is?
