Boston Disembarkation time

We will soon board the NCL Dawn from Quebec City to Boston. We arrive on Friday, Oct. 12. We are trying to arrange a service to pick us up with a car seat as we will be traveling with a 3 year old.

We will be in a Suite and intend to carry our bags off while taking advantage of the first opportunity to disembark after arrival and after the ship has been cleared with customs.

For those who have arrived in Boston previously, how long should we expect this to take if we are among the first ones in line to get off the ship?

I do realize that each cruise can be different and delays can occur. We have also been on ships where we were able to get off earlier than the posted times and be in an Uber within 10-15 minutes after having our ship cards scanned as we disembarked.

We are trying to choose an approximate time to give to the car service that will be picking us up.

You did not mention if you need transportation to the airport and the time of the flight ?

See that you have posted a second post:

Thank you! We are wondering if an 8:15-8:30am pick-up is possible. We are trying for an 11am flight but have a back-up plan. We know Boston rush hour traffic can also be challenging at that time, too.

YOU WILL BE OK - Plenty of time Relax - AND don't do anything to the ship I am leaving on the return to

Quebec that afternoon ! LOL !

Any other transportation is not a real problem with the WALK-OFF with luggage - you are in a suite

and will be given escorted service to the head of the walk-off line - then you are on your own to any

CBP paperwork stations and in most cases it is virtually nill - you give the agent your customs purchases

declaration and out the door to the cab taxi uber lyft bus services.

If catching a flight after 11:00 am this is a non issue if you are leaving the ship at 8:00 - after loading up

the hire vehicle you are less than 30 minutes to the airport. Suggest you use a cell phone to keep in

touch with the hire vehicle and the driver can take it from there as to where he needs to be with car to

pick you up timely. From what I understand Boston does not allow the taxis to wait in front of the disembark

area but are on que from a holding area. It is a splendid system with few complaints - a constant flow of

taxis picking up fares no waiting - there maybe some holding for car pooling vans and larger vehicles and

for the pools going to one specific airline terminal.

Readers time to chime in or digress if this is not what you have encountered........

I live in Boston, work downtown, and frequently use the airport. Plenty of time, even during rush hour.
