Clarea Posted October 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2018 It's been reported before on other holiday cruises. Specialty restaurant prices onboard will likely also be higher.

mattb31 Posted October 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2018 We're on Allure over Thanksgiving this year and can confirm there's no dining package on ours either.
Ken at the beach Posted October 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2018 You think that’s expensive, try over Christmas where the prices are over 50% more for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,

lovescats5 Posted October 8, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2018 For the cost of specialty dining you could almost upgrade to a Star Class suite and the restaurants are included.

MaiseyM Posted October 8, 2018 #9 Share Posted October 8, 2018 People will pay the difference; they see a business opportunity and took it. I am taking another Christmas cruise with the family. The rates are SO much higher than other seasons. Once again though, people like me will pay for it. Supply and demand. I won’t, however, be paying for specialty restaurants. I guess that’s the price we pay for going at peak seasons. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cruisegirl1 Posted October 8, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Don't know about Thanksgiving, but for Christmas and NYE, they've started adding a glass of "complimentary" cheap champagne and then charging double for the meal. At least that was the drill for the past 2 years. I honestly don't recall what we paid the years prior to that. OP - Enjoy your family time regardless of where you decide to have the meal.
