Email notifications

Maybe I'm not reading it correctly, but I don't see the notification option to email me for every new post I am following.  Is the notification in the browser or by email?

Method to use for content I follow automatically

• A notification when new content is posted
• One email per day with all new content from that day
• One email per week with all new content from that week
• Do not send me notifications

I tried to turn off email notifications and even though it says they are off, i am getting an email notification every time someone responds to a post i have posted in. I used to get one a day now it is continuous. I have turned them off but they just keep coming. Quite annoying.

Have you checked notification settings?  There is a special option just for what you are trying to do.  Have you checked that and it's not working?

EVERY time a new screen comes up a notification comes up "boards.cruisecritic.com wants to send you notifications, but first you need to go to Settings and turn on Notifications".  

 

I am not very tech saavy first of all.  I do not want this notification coming up every time I go to a new page!  When I click on Settings can't figure out what to do next.  I thought I had notification turned off.  Can anyone help please?

Also, this only happens when I am using Edge, not IE.

With CC 2.0, do you you have to go in and change notification settings? 1.0 automaticity did this for you.  Asking because I’m not receiving any email notifications......
