Uber - can they handle 4 plus luggage?

We will be staying in a hotel in fort lauderdale before our cruise out of the port of miami.  Is Uber an option or are there any other suggestions?  Also, do you tip Uber drivers?  Have never Ubered before!  Thanks for your help!

You would need to book Uber XL.  The regular Uber X could not handle 4 and luggage. On the app, just swipe to the side and select XL. Easy.  As for tipping, after your trip, the app will give you the option of tipping. 

 

It's all very very simple. Go for it!

No, you can't even book the car with the app without a valid credit card.  It's totally cashless and that has always been a major selling point.  Can't pay cash even if you wanted to.

If a dinosaur like me can figure out Uber and Lyft, so can you!  Watch a couple of YouTube videos about setting up your account, download the app onto your phone, and join the crowd.  I have just about given up on standard taxis - I get better service and cleaner cars for less money using either Uber or Lyft.

It really is easy to use Uber.  Why don't you download the app and try it in your own area before you cruise. That should make your trip easier.

I have used uber/lyft in Fort Lauderdale & Miami. Using the app for the first time made me nervous, but no problem after that. Unless something has changed recently you can add the tip by using the app or use cash for the tip. I always tip in cash.
