Rare mk-ultra Posted October 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2018 It's my last night on the Oasis. I've spent the usual amount of money and time in the casino on this cruise, 95% playing blackjack. No cert on my last night, so I checked with the casino host. She said I had ~350 points. Huh? I would normally have 10x that from my blackjack play. That number maybe represents my incidental "I'll just fool around on a couple of slot machines." As soon as I stepped up to her desk, she knew what my question would be -- so I imagine there are a lot of other disappointed / pissed-off table players wondering what's going on. Done with this crap. They've really gutted their casino program.
RFerrington Posted October 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2018 I had the same issue on my last cruise (Grandeur). The cruise on Grandeur prior to this one, I was awarded a free balcony room. This time, $100 off. What a joke
Rare John&LaLa Posted October 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2018 Laura moved to Wheel of Fortune. Table points have sucked for quite a while
PhoenixCruiser Posted October 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2018 (edited) It was the same on our August cruise. We like to play Let It Ride and Roulette so this sucks. Edited October 21, 2018 by PhoenixCruiser

sellwingri Posted October 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 21, 2018 I’ll be on Jewel on a transatlantic in 2 weeks and play Ultimate Texas holdem and Three card poker. With 8 sea days, I’ll have a lot of time to play. We’ll see how many points I’ll amass.
Mrclean3 Posted October 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 21, 2018 We were on Harmony a few weeks ago. We had the same problem. Talked to host. She said sorry. We will keep our table play at land base casino if RCCL is going to treat us like this was told by Host that 1 hour at $10 blackjack table will get you 10 points. Less than that for craps about the same for 3 card what a change. I asked how points were marked up because we did not see anyone writing anything up. She said when dealers were thru at that table they would go to computer and mark down players average play. Watched but never saw that. They would just leave. 70SS350 Posted October 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 21, 2018 Was on Allure this August. Casino host told me for every $5 in a slot is 1 point, every $25 on a table game is 1 point also. Big difference.
Sobro Posted October 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted October 22, 2018 I estimated $1000 blackjack action on Serenade year before last and the casino didn't even have a report at the end of the cruise. I expected enough points for a keychain. I contacted casino management onshore and asked why they took my Seapass card if they weren't even bothering to make a report. They had no answer. On our following cruise my wife had casino recognition on her Seapass for her $200 action on slots. Mine was blank. After that I tell casual table gamers not to expect anything from them. CMurph Posted October 22, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 22, 2018 We always play table games. After consistently receiving certificates & free drinks each time we cruised, the certificates stopped this year. We are Prime, so we are enjoying those benefits for now. Based on what I am reading here, and the fact we are no longer earning the certs, I'm beginning to doubt we will maintain our Prime status for the next year. It was nice while it lasted. We don't gamble for the perks, but to be honest....we cruise more often when we get the great rates, which results in a lot more money for them in all areas, not just the casino. You would think they would do all they can to keep their loyal gamblers cruising as often as possible. I'm not threatening to stop cruising or gambling, but it is their loss if we cruise less often because we don't have those enticements.
Sobro Posted October 22, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 22, 2018 As a Prime member you may want to introduce yourself to the casino host on your first night. They still take care of their really good customers AFAIK.
