Those keyboards came after the interactive TV.   I know the IT people hate the interactive TV system, it is apparently a real pain to keep up and they would like to find an alternative.  Those keyboards were one alternative.  The iPads where another.  I suspect at some point they will just have a phone app.

Long after.  Interactive TVs are on all of the Radiance and Voyager and Freedom class ships, which all came out before the Oasis.

We haven't cruised on Royal Caribbean for 14 years.  They used to have some computers in the library that you could use for short periods of time for free.  Do they still have these?  We would like to be able to check emails once or twice during the week and we will need to check in for our flight home.  Don't want to pay for WIFI all week just to do these things.

Thanks for your help!

You have many options, none of course are free, but many are cheap.  First, about your emails.  You could check your emails anytime, by turning on your phone, turning in data roaming, and then check your emails.  Depending on your carrier, this will cost you just a few dollars if you do it in port, or a few more dollars if on the ship.  It is cheaper than the daily rate for wifi, and cheaper than your phone carrier's day pass.  (also cheaper than a drink on the ship).  Just remember to turn data off as soon as you are done.  VERY important.

As far as boarding passes, that would depend on your airline, but the same thing you will do as above, and download the pass into your phone's app.  If you need it printed, than you can do it at the airport, but you would already be checked in, so it should be easy.

You can also get WiFi for a day on the ship if you wanted.

There's no way to know this and doubtful it is cheaper than WiFi, which could be as little as $10/day.
