1- $35 is more than enough. They allot that  amount for dinner or lunch.

2- Menus are the same every day for both lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner menus are different though.

3- No. though on lobster night they will sometimes serve lobster with what meals you choose.

4- Gratitudes are included with package. I did tip extra for each meal though.

5- I’ve done both I’ve done my schedule for the week once I boarded and this past week we done some as we went. You can’t book them all prior to boarding the ship. Not difficult at all and they are very accommodating.

Hi MrFunInTheSun,

Thank you very very much for answering all my questions. Your help is greatly appreciated. I am a planner and knowing all the details helps me a lot.

Again, your reports are fantastic and really fun to follow.

Looking forward to your next report.

🙂 🙂 🙂

I was on Symphony TransAtlantic when you were doing this review!  Glad it was here for me to read when I got hom!!  I see a few familiar faces also followed along!!  Silky Sal!!!  I have not cruised with you in quite a while, and when I did, I think my friend Kay was with me and not my husband!!

MrFunInTheSun...... you did an awesome job as usual!!  If I knew how to post photos, I would post the one of the shuffle board you asked about on Symphony which is on the running track off to the starboard side.  On the port side, they have ping pong tables.  I had to retrieve a bouncing ball once on one of my walks!!  LOL

Looking forward to your next review on Symphony!  I left some alcohol on there, although we did our best to drink it all on the crossing from Barcelona to Miami!

Was a perfect cruise, only thing that could have made it better is if y’all were cruising with us! 😀

Great report! I was on the same sailing and just knew if I looked close enough I’d see myself in your report-finally found the back of by head on the boardwalk near the end!

Just one correction: there were pier runners in St. Maarten! We were standing on our 6th deck aft balcony and at 4:58 ship time (dark by now) 2 guys came running BAREFOOT at full tilt towards aft gangway of the ship! Then 3 minutes later, a girl passed out in the back of a golf cart was driven to the gangway (I hope she was ok-I suspect she was the drunk girl who caused the 2 barefoot pier runners). Finally...and I couldn’t believe it, a few minutes past 5:00, a family with kids and a stroller were zipped to the gangway by a speeding golf cart! Under 60 seconds passed between the time the gangway was pulled & the time we were sailing away from the dock. The whole process amazed me!

You were in many of the same places as me during the same times-the Boardwalk, Emerald Beach, the Pool decks, and definitely the casino! But I was with a party of 15 & lots of kids (including my own young kids) so meal times weren’t in any of the specialty restaurants. It all looked great from your report!

Thanks again for the great report-was fun to relive the week through the eyes of someone who had a very different (and definitely more relaxing) trip than me on the same ship-it was a great week!

Indeed it was a perfect week, wish I saw those last minute folks join the ship. They surely won the Royal Caribbean lottery.

Thanks for following along and glad you are all caught up.

Check our my signature as there are some other really old “Lives” from Allure of the seas and a few on some Carnival ships.

I’ll be sure to post in here once I begin my “Live” Symphony of the seas in February.

Thanks so much!  I've read a few of your other reviews but unfortunately missed the last one.  I will definitely be reading for enjoyment 🙂
