Cheers Payment Question

When you enter a gift card number and hit "apply" it'll bring your balance owed down. There will be a "use another gift card option" or something like that. Just keep doing that until the balance is down to 0 then submit payment. I struggled with that the first time I did it.

Does the same rule apply to paying for the Cheers program with two different credit/debit cards?  My son and his friend are getting Cheers and it would be nice if they could just split the payment online instead of one of them having to reimburse the other.

On our last cruise (Nov 2018), it was $1000 per day.
