We are in our late 60’s and active seniors.

Hoping for suggestions of day excursions.

thinking of water/snorkeling on Bora Bora and Moorea.  Maybe land excursions on the others? Or just enjoy the days on some islands with no excursions?

thank you for any suggestions

Huahine - can go either way on this island as both lagoon and land excursions are fun

Bora Bora - Thing water excursions first followed by a land excursion/visit.

Tahaa - drift snorkel ... they will drop you off at Motu Mahana at lunch time.

Moorea - Your here two days. A lagoon excursion id fun, beautiful clear water. A land excursion is a must one of the days, preferably one that includes magic mountain.

Thank you for your fast response. I enjoy reading your info on this forum.

Thank you  ....

I usually don't give absolutes on excursions because there are great ones both private and ships. Just encourage pointing you in the right direction on what you should consider on each island to get the most out of it 😉

Huahine:  I am interested in going to Fare town in afternoon and Faire for eels in morning

any suggestions on how to do both?

is there a tour that goes to Faire eels in morning?

how do you get to the town of Fare if you are not on a tour? Or do tours go there for the Sunday afternoon?

thank you

The eels are kind of underwhelming, in my opinion, I wouldn't base an excursion on that one thing.

In general, make sure to get into the water on Bora Bora, and don't forget the private motu beach which is available usually both days whlie in BB.  Nothing there but sand and water.  And of course, Taha'a is the full beach day, wonderful.

On Moorea, I love Dr. Poole's Dolphin Watch, which may include whales depending on the time of the year.  You also get beautiful offshore views back to the fantastically beautiful island of Moorea.  Do try to be on land enough to get up to the Belvedere lookout, a spectacular view.
