Who has a good cruise ship casino slot machine story?

Good and bad. I was playing the slots on the Bliss and was lucky to win $40 on the quarter machines. I stuck the winning ticket in my pocket and went to a show in the atrium . After a few drinks I  was slouching in my seat and you can guess what happened. After I reached into my pocket to cash out the ticket, I realized it had fallen out of my pocket. I went to the lost and found but no one turned in the ticket, Ha!

In carried my daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren on a Western Caribbean last October. (2019) With air and 2 cabins and other expenses it ran me about 10 grand. This one not on NCL.

On Halloween night I hit a "MAXI" jackpot for over 5 grand on a Star Watch slot machine. I put that money in my safe.

On Saturday evening (the last night)  I found a casino voucher for 40 bucks from earlier in the week that I had forgotten to cash in. I had not been back in the casino since the jackpot. The machine to cash the ticket in was out of order and there was a line at the cashier.

So I put it in to the other Star Watch machine next to the one I had gotten lucky on. Two spins later I hit the MAXI on it for over 5 grand. I still look at it as the Good Lord reimbursing me for doing a good thing!

Picture it...last night of our honeymoon cruise, Princess ship, 2005. We saw a lady win $1200. We sit 2 machines down from her and play. Win 1100. Now there is a wait to get paid because they are helping the lady so we pop across the aisle. Black and White double jackpot machine. 5000 hit. Now the martinis are flowing and I am playing nickel machines. 600, 800, they keep coming. Hubby has to pour me into bed! He has to go back to the casino because he had about 1000 in chip from craps! That was by far the most profitable casino cruise night ever. On the way home, we found out the waitress (we stopped getting receipts because we had her all well...stupid I know) had double charged us for every drink that night, even though we tipped her every round and extra on jackpots. Cruise line refunded us for every drink we had that day.

On the Gem, I got 763 free spins on the Rio machine. I won 800ish. Took almost the whole afternoon to get through that bonus game!

On the epic last year, just sat down and put in $100 planning on betting $1.76...accidently pressed max bet ($8.88) no sooner did I notice my mistake and the little "choose 3 matching balls" came up....I picked 3 matching GRANDS and won $10,000.00. Best mistake I ever made!!  Was very bummed out that hubby was back in the cabin sleeping !! But i got my photo taken with a big cardboard check like they do with Publishers Clearing House winners!!

Hey, were you on the Bliss when you found that $40 voucher? See my Dec 12 post.

Sorry, no, I was on a Royal Caribbean ship. And it was my voucher. I had cashed out when I hit the first jackpot and put the money and cash out voucher in my cabin safe.

We were with three couples on the original Pacific Princess in 1990 in the Med. I was teaching my friend to play the Progressive Poker Machines the first afternoon at Sea. We each had $20 to spend. I said the first rule is that you always have to play MAX. My friend said " but I'll lose my money too fast. You only have $2 left." On my next spin I hit Ace of Diamonds, King of Diamonds, Jack of Diamonds , Ten of Diamonds. I said " Oh look all I need is the Queen! She shot up right in the middle and I won $2,300. The young man paid me $100 bills and we ran up to the Spa where our husbands were. The British woman at the desk said "wait you can't go in there!"  Needless to say, we did and we were dancing in a circle with our husbands dressed in towels.

I have 2 storiesre slots on ship

i was on Epic ...noticed a 4 screen ladybug machine .From the onset I felt this machine was smilingat me .On second night ...i left my son at a show and headed tothatmachine ...I put 20$ in .presed the button and stopped the screen .The machine started to ringlike crazy ...I knew I had gotten something but I did notknow what ...bingo it appeared 1800$ ..jackpot ...took a while to get paid

my second big win happened on Star ...i had a defecrtive machine without sound but nevertheless i played Cleopatra 2 .I was bidding a lot ..but got nothing ...I switched to myusual bet of 1.60 ...i got 5 pharaohs ..I told myself 3 isgood 5 must be better .I played my free spins which disappointingly gave me very little but then the screen shut and 4170$ appeared...my biggest win ever ...Because my machine has no soundno one knew I won .I had toxall my son overto get someone

For those of you with large winnings- was there a threshold for at which point they gave you a check and did they take any tax withholdings?

I have no good stories myself related to the casino- but I was going to my M&G that had the raffle and I was late because I was trying to win a watch. I ended up buying the last 3 raffle tickets and i guess they didn't shuffle and I won.

During these times I am doing the lottery. Maybe that is for an off topic thread!

Two years ago in the Escape...was walking through the casino on the 3rd day and randomly sat down at a Lock n Link diamond machine...hit the major for 2500...biggest jackpot I have ever hit on a cruise ship. It made the rest of the trip that much more fun!

I'm not much of a slot player, especially on a cruise because with no competition, the slots are extra tight.  I was playing video poker on the Star when I held one card, hit deal, and the machine started going nuts.  I looked and realized I had a straight.  Looked again, they're all hearts!  Looked a third time, it's an ace high straight flush!  My first royal flush!  It was a nickel machine, I won $200 (side note, I have had one other royal flush, again on a nickel machine, it never happened when I'm playing quarters), took my winnings to the craps table and won another $100.  Next day I did some Christmas shopping in Puerto Vallarta.

I did an Alaska cruise on the Jewel, got on the ship with $400, did a lot of shopping in ports, and got off the ship with $400.  My wins weren't as big as many have related on here, but it's always nice to have wins.
