Spin and other paid exercise classes

Hello,

Can anyone tell me more about what type of paid exercise classes they offer, the duration of the class, fee, intensity, etc?

I really like going to exercise classes at home (mostly body pump, spin, hot yoga) and would like to continue on the ship.

I know there won't be hot yoga but I saw on some of the dailies they have spin, resistance training, and some others.

Has anyone done any of these recently? What would you say the fitness level of these classes would be?

Thanks!

If you are semi-serious about yoga, I’ve read that you’d be terribly disappointed with the quality of the yoga classes.

Im thinking of taking a towel or borrowing a mat and finding a quiet place to engage in solitary yoga.

Spinning might be fun!

On the Silhouette in October the exercise room (part of the gym area) was often almost empty. Generally only one or two people doing their own exercise routines. I saw about five people maximum in the exercise room and sometimes none.

Spin is spin.  It's how much you put into it.  The instructors (that I've had) were good, pretty high intensity.  Came out of there with good workout.  Cost was around $15 - a little less but tipped to round it up.  Cruise last month had a waiting list for all the spin classes so if you want one, sign up early.

Can't talk about any of the other classes.

Have fun

Bummer to hear about the spin bikes on board. We have a Peloton at home and I was hoping to take a few classes on Equinox next week. Might have to rethink that.

Edge will have Pelotons so I’m wondering if they will put them on the other ships during the dry docks?

According to the cruise planner, Edge will also offer barre and cardio boxing classes. I'm planning to checking out both, or at least attempting to use whatever barre I assume they'll have installed in the gym in tandem with streaming classes.
