Has anyone spent time here rather than going to Stockholm or would you recommend going to Stockholm.

Definitely Stockholm! Gorgeous city with tons to see and do.

On our Baltic cruise, I came back just feeling and knowing Stockholm was my favorite port, yes, over St Petersburg. Maybe it was Vasa, maybe it was Gamla Stan, maybe it was just the Swedish people, but we so enjoyed ourselves there and hope some day to go back and spend more time.

You would be cheating yourself out of one of the best cities in all Scandinavia.

Frustrating that you port here as we did, but I would definitely go to Stockholm. As others have said it is a gorgeous place and we later returned for multiple days.  I would encourage a visit to the Vasa as a must see.

Definitely travel to Stockholm.  We also docked at Nynashamn and were disappointmented to have to be bussed into Stockholm but it is truly worth it.  Vasa museum alone is worth the trek.

Stockholm is beautiful. We booked a tour which took us there and then back to the ship, and it was very convenient. We don't regret a single minute of it, we saw the fascinating town and the Vasa museum, and they are really impressive. I enjoyed the stories of Vasa, and there are lots of others about different places in the city. Go to Stockholm for sure!
