Suite Details:       Best accessible cabin we have ever had. Traveling with adult son using a walker who cannot do steps or door lips of any kind without a helping hand. 

                         

Advantages/Problems/Comments: Raised balcony floor on Edge Class ships is real improvement.  Note main beds in accessible cabins of Edge ships do not allow for luggage stored underneath. The couch/third person bed proved to be comfortable and had no impact on floor space when in use.

Suite Details:  Large space with a fair bit of storage however not all the storage is practical, some cupboards very small and some wardrobe space was tight in the bedroom. Large open entrance but nothing filled the space felt like a waste.                                                                                                                                          

 

                                                                                                                                                               

Advantages/Problems/Comments:                                                                                                                            

Great location to Luminae and very close to forward lifts, was very noisy in the evenings always after midnight, and during the day in the corridor occasionally you could hear the galley staff. 

                                                                                                                                                               

Would You Book It Again?: No we preferred our sky suite didn’t feel the upgrade was worth the cost.

There is an overhang from deck above that extends several feet beyond our IV "window" which impacts horizon view. Additionally there are support posts for the extensions on the deck above which intrude on the views and the ability to take pictures.

Suite Details:   IV Stateroom. Closet space would be very tight if had several long items to hang. We found storage to be adequate, but we are light packers. Nice to be able to put luggage under the bed.

No clothesline.  Bathroom well laid out. Annoying the button to flush is behind the toilet lid.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Advantages/Problems/Comments:  IV is a mixed bag. In cool weather was a nice extension of space. But lowering the upper window apparently turns off heat/AC. Would not consider for a warm/hot weather itinerary. After several cruise days, this deck 11 IV window had so many water spots it was difficult to clearly see out. Very disappointing.  Sad because we really liked the ship.                                                                                                                      

 

                                                                                                                                                              

Would You Book It Again?: Not this unit because of the "obstructed" view. Probably look for a regular balcony next time but they are hard to get without moving up to a suite. Would not book concierge class unless the additional cost was minimal.

Suite Details:   Kelly Hoppen clutter on surfaces and floor.  No place to lay something down.     Ask butler to pile it all in a corner.  Sitting furniture is uncomfortable ,clumsy and difficult to adjust.   

Bathroom is awful.  Doors swing wrong way - Interfere. Shelves are behind door.  Tub is nearly impossible to get in.  Dangerous.  No grab handles .  We are fit and flexible but we needed a step with a handle to get in which the Stateroom attendant found .  The Jacuzzi tub is very narrow.  Warning it is very difficult to get out of the  tub.  There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom to plugin a hair dryer - must use the outlet in the closet with bad light.

Whenever I try to view the spreadsheet it only lists the Edge.  Is there another link besides the one on the first page that shows Apex also?   I have tried on two different laptops - one a Google Chromebook and one HP laptop.  Thank you!

In an earlier post in this thread someone stated that the spreadsheet is no longer being updated as the creator passed away. You can do a search within the topic itself (check top right magnifying glass) and put in the ship name or even a cabin number to see if it comes up.

This relates to our Mediterranean cruise on the Apex about a month ago. We were in a regular SV cabin, number 11274. We had absolutely no issues and absolutely loved, loved, loved our room. Loved it so much we will never book anything but a sunset veranda on an E-class Celebrity ship. Another reason is we can’t afford a suite haha. Here are a few pictures to help show you what you could get to experience as we did.

I cannot believe it. After saying I would never book anything but a sunset veranda (SV) on an E class ship what do I do but go ahead and book an infinite veranda on the Apex for next November on a transatlantic cruise because there are no SV’s available and I can’t afford a suite. Sure we will enjoy it anyway.

Suite Details: Very well appointed S2 Sky Suite. My biggest complaint would be the safe is way too small. Could not lock up our tablet, nor could we fit DSLR camera & 3 extra lenses. Had to leave one lens out.

 

Advantages/Problems/Comments: Close to the aft elevators. The extra steps to Luminae, the Retreat lounge &sundeck helps burn off a few extra calories.

Suite Details:   Kelly Hoppen clutter on surfaces and floor.  No place to lay something down.     Ask butler to pile it all in a corner.  Sitting furniture is uncomfortable ,clumsy and difficult to adjust.   

Bathroom is awful.  Doors swing wrong way - Interfere. Shelves are behind door.  Tub is nearly impossible to get in.  Dangerous.  No grab handles .  We are fit and flexible but we needed a step with a handle to get in which the Stateroom attendant found .  The Jacuzzi tub is very narrow.  Warning it is very difficult to get out of the  tub.  There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom to plugin a hair dryer - must use the outlet in the closet with bad light.

We had that cabin in May.  I agree with everything you said. The bathroom tub is an accident waiting to happen with that tub and no grab bars.  It is much too high and dangerous.

Noise Issues?:       Window/infinite Veranda was really squeaky for the first two days, but after opening/closing it a few times it was much better. The room Attendant said sometimes it needs to be open/closed a few times for the lubrication to spread. It was fine for the remainder of the trip. Advantages/Problems/Comments:         Amazing room, I would book again. It was close enough to the elevators that you could get in and out quickly but far enough you didn't get any noise from people moving around the ship. It was in the back of a hump at the ship, so we didn't have any issues with wind or noise. Balcony/Window Size:  XL, the 2 center SV balconies on decks 7 & 8 are the largest of the cabin category                                                                                       

Balcony/Window View/Obstruction:  None                                                 

 

Balcony Overhang?:  About 1/2 from the balcony above.

 

Magic Carpet Issues?: N/A                                                                                                        Noise Issues?: noticeable rumbling when pulling lines in to port. Also late night Eden shows can be heard. Didn't bother us since we're night owls.

 

Wind Issues?: Nope, just a nice breeze                                                               

Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?:  Not connecting 

 

Suite Details: N/A                                                                                                                      Advantages/Problems/Comments: The most aft cabin on the ship so the walk from the elevator is longer, but not exhausting. Love the larger balcony which allows room for two chairs and two loungers. Sunset and wake views are unmatched. Some soot on the balcony and chairs that can be wiped of with a towel.

 

Would You Book It Again?: For sure! We like the traditional balconies.
