Carnival recently started selling cruises on the Fantasy out of Mobile as far out as April 2021. I woudn’t expect that to change unless if someone wants to buy the ship.

 

I don’t think there’s enough spare inventory for Mobile to get a second ship, unless if demand for 3-4 day Baja cruises starts drying up, and the 5-7 day Mexican Riviera cruises continue to sell well. Even then I would expect Imagination or Inspiration to be shipped to Australia before winding up on the Gulf Coast.

 

Most likely we are going to see an extension through the end of 2019 or early 2020, and possibly some commitment form the city for an expanded parking and/or terminal facility, hence the announcement from the Mayor’s Office.

I don't think they will send any Fantasy class ships to Australia.  They are good for itineraries to nearby ports, but not the distances Downunder.  EM

Nov 2019? That seems pretty short-term. People are probably booked well beyond that.

I just checked the site and they are taking bookings on Fantasy from Mobile up to April 2021.

They seem to be extending the contract with Mobile year-to-year.
