Disembarking and credit card charge

If you have a credit card set up for charges, when does it the final charge show up? Is it on there once you disembark or does it sometimes take a few days. I’m even talking about it “pending” as well.

Depends on your credit card company.  Mine have shown pending the day that I disembark and the charge usually posts a couple of days later

I am sure I am wrong based on what others posted, but I thought charges were sent to the credit card company for authorization  daily and then the grand total is sent at the end. I thought when that was done, the charges became pending.  I never checked my credit card to see how it was done because I don't usually charge much and I have a decent credit limit so I am not worried about going over.

I've seen the charges come a couple of ways.    One is that there are no pending charges until the day we get off, then we see one pending charge which posts in around 3 days.  The other is that in addition to the above, there are 2 or 3 other pending charges during the cruise that fall off and never post.  I've not yet seen daily pending charges.
