Lvntrvl Posted December 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2018 Traveling with a group of 8. Thinking about buying a refreshment package for each and then buying bottles of alcohol on board for those who want to spike their drinks (only a few in the group drink). Is this possible ? Merion_Mom Posted December 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2018 NO. You cannot buy a bottle for consumption on board. If you buy a bottle in the shop, it is held until disembarkation.

Lvntrvl, Depending on the ship you are on, you can check in the gifts section and see if it’s possible. Royal doesn’t sell the liter bottles for the cabin though like some other lines. FrankNBrew Posted December 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2018 (edited) You can order bottles in advance via Royal Gifts. It’s a 375ml bottle (half a fifth) and 4 cans of soda (pop, for us in the Midwest) for $43-50, depending on your selection. But they are supposed to be consumed in your room. George C Posted December 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2018 Some people have been know to smuggle booze on board with rum runners or other devices , not that I would ever do anything like that.
matj2000 Posted December 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 12, 2018 People need to stop being cheap. If you want to drink a lot, buy the package. If not pay as you go. If you cannot afford it, go camping..

It was a Boy Scout camp. 😬

I was only thinking about the shop. Completely forgot about the relatively new program in Gifts 'n' Gear. Thanks, crzndeb!
